The fault in our stars

The fault in our stars is a really emotional book. I have read the book because my sister had read it and she told me that I really had to read it because she really liked it. So I did that and this is how I think about the book.

The fault in our stars is a book about Hazel Grace a 16 year old girl who suffers on long cancer. She doesn’t go to school because she is to tired. She is really depressed. She reads the book ‘An Imperial Affliction’ over and over again. Her mother decides that Hazel has to go to a talk group, where she can met new people who are also fighting cancer or people who had cancer. Hazel doesn’t feel like it at all, until she meets Gus (Augustus), he is cured of cancer. Hazel and Gus are interested in each other and the evening after they hangout.

John Green is the writer of the fault in our stars. He is an American writer. He is born on August 24, 1977. He is 41 years old now. The book is published on January 2012.

The most important character is Hazel Grace. Hazel is a 16 year old girl who is struggling cancer. She is a sweet girl with a great sense of humour. She is really mature for her age. She knows what she wants. Despite her disease she is a very normal teenager.

Augustus Waters is a 17 year old boy who beat cancer. He looks like he is a cool and careless boy. But he has a really good heart and he really cares about people. He is a very honest person.

Isaac is the best friend of August. He got blind because of the cancer. He is also in the talk group. He is a really emotional boy. Mostly because his girlfriend broke up with him because he is blind.

I read the book because my sister told me that it was a very good book. I loved the book! It’s a very sad story but it’s also very romantic. I love the relationship between Hazel and Gus. The book contains humour and sadness. There where moments in the book that I smiled, and there where moments in the book that I got tears in my eyes. I think the book is very realistic. I really would recommend the book to everyone!
